September 12, 2019:
Thirty one Coalition members gathered at our quarterly meeting on September 12, 2019 in Montpelier. We engaged in rich discussion about the future goals and strategies for suicide prevention efforts in Vermont. These recommendations will inform a report to the legislature this winter by the AHS Leadership Team as a follow up to Act 34. Read more about this in the meeting notes and view the Act 34 slides.
We learned about the New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center’s efforts to provide resources and support for mental health and suicide prevention work. Additionally, we discussed how we can create a better infrastructure for survivor support groups. And lastly, we shared announcements about upcoming events and resources.
